Birth of the Source

Tsi was a kunmesin slave who was sold to several different artisan masters throughout her lifetime. During this, she learned various techniques in art and became famous in her own right for the realistic yet surreal sculptures she created. Even before buying her freedom, many sought out her art, making her masters very wealthy. After she purchased herself, she set up shop and continue to work throughout her life. 
Her most famous statue depicts one of the various interpretations of the Source coming into being. The Source is a concept in Bolugama, the dominant religion of Eoion, which is said to be the origin point for all magic. There are several diverging theories as to where the Source originated from. During Tsi's lifetime, the prevailing wisdom stated that a substance called 'proto-magic' was dispersed and when it came together, it created the Source of what is known as magic today. 
This was captured by Tsi in a colorful, vibrant sculpture that was said to be an explosion of life, depicting a simultaneous coalescing and distribution. The piece was commissioned by a temple after she was freed. However, several decades later, the temple was raided and the statue stolen piece by piece. This was an astonishing theft as the statue was considered a monument to the Source and was at least two stories tall. 
In 798, over a century after it disappeared, it was discovered in the home of a convicted drug dealer living on one of the northern islands. The empire recovered it and the rediscovered statue was brought to the Statue Forest in Niuus where it has remained ever since.
