Requiem
“It was too big to be called a sword. Massive, thick, weighty, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw iron.
Forged from steel both fair and foul, this massive sword is impossibly large for a normal wielder, weighing 1,000 pounds and taller than most men could dream of becoming.
Massive: This magic greatsword grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. Attacks you make with this sword have a reach of 15 feet.
Thick: Due to its massive size, this sword’s base slashing damage becomes 3d10, rather than 2d6. While attuned to and holding this blade, you take on its incredible density and magical nature, gaining resistance to Force damage.
Weighty: While making attacks with this sword, you may choose to give up any number of attacks from the extra attack feature on your turn. In exchange, the remaining attacks you make have a crit range increased by 1, and deal 1d10 extra slashing damage on a hit, per the number of attacks you choose to forgo. Damage to objects is maximized.
Rough: Even when the edges are not aligned, this blade packs a devastating blow. Whenever you hit an attack with it, you may choose to deal bludgeoning damage where you would ordinarily deal slashing. Additionally, on a natural 20 roll of any attack, you may sever a limb off the creature you are attacking. (Determined by the DM). If a creature is too big for the targeted limb to be cut off, or if the target is able to use legendary actions, the target instead takes an extra 3d8 slashing damage from the hit. The number range needed to be hit for this ability increases only with the Heavy ability.
Destroying the Sword: The only way to destroy Requiem is to bathe it in the liquid ruins of Mechanus, and then have a demon prince strike it in three different planes while it is still wet.
