Oath of the Arcane
Oath of the arcane
You have sworn to procure knowledge and arcane power, to combine it with your divine magic to obtain power, you swear to seek and obtain knowledge, and to procure it and make certain it is accessible to all those willing to seek its power. You swear to abide by the following tenets
Seek-You are to seek knowledge to better your understanding and to help better the understanding of others.
Preserve-The knowledge you seek is to be preserved, preserved for the ages beyond you. You are to be the keeper of this knowledge and be its protector.
Freedom-Knowledge should not be kept to yourself, your knowledge is to be shared with all those who seek it
When you choose this oath at 3rd level instead of gaining additional spells that are always prepared, you gain 2 spells of each level from the wizard spell list from either the abjuration, evocation, or divination schools of magic. These spells count as paladin spells for you and don’t count against your total spells known. You also gain proficiency in the arcana and history skills
When you choose this oath at 3rd level you gain the following channel divinities
Renounce the arcane-You gain the ability to turn away creatures of arcane magic, all oozes, aberrations, constructs, and monstrosities in a 30 foot radius must make a wisdom saving throw or be turned for 1 minute
Arcane knowledge- you and an amount of creatures equal to your intelligence modifier gain advantage when making a check related to oozes, aberrations, constructs, or monstrosities for one minute
Aura of knowledge-starting at 7th level, you and any friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain advantage on any intelligence based ability check. At level 18 the range is increased to 30 feet
Master of arcane protection-At level 15 you have mastered the art of abjuartion magic to protect not only yourself, but others. An amount of times equal to your intelligence modifier if an abjuration spell with a range of self and a casting time of 1 reaction (such as shield or absorb elements) could be used by an ally within your aura of knowledge, you may use your reaction to cast it on them instead, spending the spell slot and they are treated as if they had casted the spell.
Bastion of knowledge-At 20th level your knowledge of arcane magic is nearly unmatched, you gain a bonus to all intelligence based checks equal to your proficiency bonus (this does stack with skills you are proficient with) Your aura of protection now also adds your intelligence and charisma modifier to you and any friendly creatures within 10 feet of you
