Gideon of Iron Mountain Character in Seiðrheim | World Anvil

Gideon of Iron Mountain

Born in the mineral-rich recesses of Iron Mountain, Gideon's adventurous spirit was evident from a young age. As a dwarf, he inherited the profound connection to stone and metal, the deep reverence for tradition and craft. Yet, the confines of Iron Mountain, echoing with ancestral wisdom and resounding with the rhythmic ring of hammers on anvils, couldn't hold his wanderlust in check. He wanted to be one of the great explorers of the world, finding new metals and stones, slaying the biggest monsters, and creating a slew of mighty tales. No one could stop Gideon from seeking this glory.   Leaving behind the comforts and certainties of Iron Mountain, Gideon set out into the wider world. He journeyed through sun-baked deserts, navigated treacherous oceans, and scaled the highest peaks. Throughout his travel, he gained knowledge, wisdom, reputation as a saviour of townships, reverance for his valor in battle, and a reputation for his undying courage.   Gideon's adventures took a dire turn when he stumbled across the horde of demons flooding from Demons Pass. Recognizing the significant threat that they posed he dedicated himself to using all of his aquired knowledge to combat this menace. A stronghold was needed, a place to stand agains the encroaching chaos. His calling now became clear: he was to become the bastion against the tide of darkness.   Gideon poured his energy into sourcing materials and help from all of his past contacts and allies, many came to his aid and pushed back the demons for long enough to develop a stronghold. With his dwarven background and vast knowledge at his disposal he was able to construct what is now known as Gideon's Keep, a fortuitous structure that will test the might of the most powerful demons.
