Crouat

Perched atop the craggy peaks of the highest mountain ranges, the Crouat reigns supreme, a living legend both revered and feared by those dwelling in the valleys beneath its elevated perch. Preferring the tender nutritious flesh of the young, it is notorious for its raids on local villages, where it snatches children and infants from their homes.   The Crouat doesn't speak normally, but communicates to others telepathically, and those that have heard its words tend to go insane. The blood of a Crouat is said to provide other worldly strength and provides rich fertility to crops.   Some call them myth, others say they need to amplify their defences against them, it is always up for argument but they are most definitely very very real. Because of this the Crouat has become a symbol of power, alchemists trying to craft new concoctions from their remains, tavernfolk bragging that they've slain one, and so forth.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Crouat has 5 lion-like legs, 4 feathery wings, 3 tiger striped tails, long whiskers, the biggest fangs you've ever seen, ermerald cat-like eyes, and creamsicle orange and white fur.   It can turn its head all the way around like and owl, is elephant sized, and has the tiniest little squeaky mew. If you happen to anger one, you will be faced with a roar capable of breaking glass.

Ecology and Habitats

The Crouat travels in packs moving from mountian range to mountain range, carefully scoping out villages to attack and steal the young children and babies to eat. A true terror of the skies. Their thick fur suits the frigid climates of their elevated habitats.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Crouat feeds on the young of all animals, humans however provide the most sustinence to these creatures. They feed off of the growing formative cells to amplify their supernatural abilties. In a pinch they also eat the eggs of other animals. They turn their nose up at the scent of an elderly corpse, similar to your regular household cat refusing to eat whatever you try to give it.
