The Emperor's Scepter
At the heart of the sub-sector lies a colossal structure ordained the Emperor's Scepter by the citizens of the Imperium. It is a tapered square rod measuring 1000 kilometers long and 200 kilometers across at its widest point. Current Magos Archeologis estimates place the artifact at over 65 million years old from an unkown xenos species. It is currently theorized by both Mechanicus and Imperial scholars that the structure is the explanation for the Seelen-Stream's incredible stability.
While Explorators and Treasure seekers alike have descended on the Scepter for millennia, few have found a way into the gargantuan artifact and those that have, never returned. While the perils have claimed countless lives, rumors still swirl as to what lies in the center. Lost archeotech, Exotic xenos treasure, or invaluable knowledge all are said to lie within. Whatever lies within that massive construct none can truely say. All that is known is that the ruinous powers current thrust into the Sub-Sector seems to be directed at the Scepter.
