Daiamonu
The larger of Tanju's moons and the most habitable, Daiamonu was once a thriving hub of activity due to its careful terraforming. Acting as a go between the feudalistic Tanju and the wider Imperium, Daiamonu was a crutial trade center and facilitated much of the Steel Tiger's Astartes arms and technology shipments from the Hephaestus Forge Worlds. This would end however with the invasion of the Remnant Traitor Astartes and the system wide conflict of The War of Flies in mid M37. The world would succumb to the corruptions of Nurgle and declared to be purgated by Exterminatus near the end of the war. Through incendiary and atomic bombardment combined with clandestine tampering with the ancient terraforming apparatuses, the world was stripped of most of its surface water and 96% of all organic life. It was later by the consensus of the planetary governors in system that the world be repopulated in early M38 to glean any value that might still be present on the world.
Geography
While notably small, Daiamonu had a fairly dramatic surface that made numerous biomes possible on the world pre-destruction. Due to the significant damage to the surface after the implementation of Exerminatus grade weaponry this had just enhanced these features to a ludicrous degree. The only liquid water now present on the world resides at the poles and due to the artificially increased temperature, remains liquid year round. The hottest temperatures are along the equitorial belt and is widely regarded as completely uninhabitable.
Ecosystem
The arid and extremely hot climate of Daiamonu has allowed little life to thrive on the world. The whole biosphere of the world was transplanted and reintroduced from other desert and costal biomes across the sub-sector and has managed to eek out an existence. One of the most noted traits of apex predators that dominate the planet are the Moisture Worms. From unknown origin they are evolved to suck out the very water and other nutrients from any animal or plant they come across.
