Aerenball

"I wondered why the Aerenball was getting bigger. Then it hit me." - Interview with losing student, moments after the end of the annual headboy competition.

History

First invented at the University of Aerowynn to keep students and teachers from being too bored. Additionally, it is a good way for two or more people to challenge each other for prestigious positions at the university whilst also improving their magic.

Execution

Two variations, dueling or team. Dueling is the original, in which two people stand in a 100ft diameter circle and try to knock them out of the ring with magic/hands. It is considered bad form to knock someone out before getting them out of the ring, but it is not against the rules. Team games are 3 vs 3 affairs, on the same pitch. This is a much less formal way of playing and as such has fewer prestige stipulations. In both variations a ball of force is in the centre of the ring, and it is not allowed to physically touch the other player/s.

Components and tools

One ball of force. One 100ft diameter circular arena.
