Ever since the dawn of standardized commercial spaceflight on the tailing end of the 21st century, some people have longed to live only among the deepest blackness of the void. Travelers by nature and usually outcasts by choice, spacers are among the people most adapted to a life lived in space.
Spacers are usually incdredibly skillful at navigating and using equipment in zero-gee environments and are top pickings fo spec-ops units that are expected to have to be able to fight in such conditions.

Beauty Ideals

Spacers usually lack the common body ideals that are prevailent in other cultures, such as musculature or a perticular distribution of fat. This is as a result of spacers needing to exercise almost constantly to maintain a healthy physique lest their body atrophie away under the effects of zero-gravity environments.
Instead, spacers are often more reserved in their body ideals, appreciating a degree of modesty and utility in their beauty.

Gender Ideals

Time tells of men taking up mechanical duties while the women trend towards scientific fields. On some large spacer structures, this can hold true but in most places this is not the common opinion.
When an oxygen line spirings a leak or a bulkhead buckles, it does not matter who is around to fix it, because ignoring it could mean death. Spacers, often forced to work together in tight environments take responsibility for everyone around them and are thus among the most equal societies in existence.
