Deib (Dey-ihb)

Deib is a rocky desert planet on the Outer Rim of the galaxy. Due to how close it is to a nearby sun, Deib is known for it's "painted" desert landscapes and short 4-5 hour nights. At lower elevations, underground water sources allow hardier desert plants to survive such as cacti and Joshua trees.
Despite how generally barren the surface of Deib is, it is rich in precious metals and minerals like gold and marble, previously attracting prospectors willing to make the planet their home.
