Into Exile

Despite their victory at the siege thanks to the timely arrival of the Orisineites, Masovia has fallen. From here, Duke Narien decides they will abandon Hrad Vidlik and retreat into the Threefold Rivers Basin, and recover in Rusulkan lands. The orcs will continue harrying the elvish occupiers.   The party, wounded from the battle, rest up before they head into the open country of south eastern Rusulka, barren and white.

With the call to pack up and make a break for the towns along the foothills of the Volhynia Mountains, the population of Masovia has been rendered refugees fleeing their mountain country. The elves will take Hrad Vidlik and then take Skypiercer Fortress and depose the head of government there. Tyrant will claim the lands for their house, taking Skypiercer as their lair. The orcs continue the fight, driving deeper into Veliuonan territory along the Krovitya River, disrupting and plundering as they go.   The five companions walk alone into the flat white nothingness that the grasslands of southwestern Rusulka are composed of. They make for Mito'id Vezhyv along the Latorica River. Along the way, they have to cross the partially frozen over river, and are spotted by a dire troll who attempts to eat the heroes. They are able to defeat the mutated monster.   On one of the freezing winter nights camped under a rock on a hilltop, Akvor is able to detect a campfire in the distance. Investigating, he finds the camp belonging to a scouting party of Painted Elves, sent ahead to check out the Rusulkan territory. They decide not to engage.   Eventually, weary from the snowy trudge, they arrive at the town and recooperate.
