The Triad
The Triad serves as the primary pantheon of the Impilturian Empire having been set as such by Impilturas I.
The Triad consists of three gods, the Lord, the Knight, and the Martyr. The lordly paladins that served as the elite warriors of the Empire used the three forms of their deity as their guiding mold. Chivalry and loyalty were important tenents that the Triad instilled, alongside the silver wyrm Nymbryxion. Some of these paladins even discarded the reverence to the Triad in favor of the physically tangible dragon, but this heresy was tolerated because these more draconically inclined knights still upheld the major tenents that the rest of the knights bore, only the name on their lips different.
Some theories state the Triad is a triple aspect of a single deity, named The Triad. Alternatively, the Triad is a fellowship of three seperate deities who form a singular purpose but are distinct. The three seperate forms are known as follows: Tyr the Leader of the Three, the Lord, the Maimed God. This maimed name is in reference to the lost hand and eyes of Tyr. Secondly is Torm the True, the Knight, the god of paladins. Lastly, Ilmater the Martyr, the Broken God, the god of endurance and perserverence.
