The Convergence

As the four moons wax together, Aeronia followed by Merida, followed by Tethys, followed lastly by Char, the quartet slowly march their way across the sky together, getting closer and closer. As they do, the elemental world practically destroys itself, flaming water rising from tornadoes of twisting stone, an alien apocalypse comes to pass on the world. From the various localizations of elemental mass, living elementals are born, and continue to exist until they are spirited back to their planar homes.
Convergence happens when the four spheres eclipse each other, one after the other. It seems more akin to the moons all combining, and an entire new planet hovers in the sky, wrought of conflicting elemental chaos. Raw magical power explodes in a burst of life, and the earth quakes under the gravitational pull of this singular object. With every convergence, it is like the world remakes itself.
This lasts for a couple days before the object begins to split off, Char leaving first, followed by its 3 sisters behind it. The effects last for months thereafter, and most cultures count the Convergence as the ending and beginning of a new age of the world.
