Welcome to the Sea Hears Project progress page! Here you will be able to inspect the current progress of the Sea Hears Visual Novel. For further news and updates, as well as the chance to share your thoughts, take a look at the official Discord server!
Patrons receive regular playable updates of the game. I am aiming to release a public demo soon.
I also plan to release some demos of the game on Youtube, however you won't be able to explore all of the branches and possibilities unless you play the game!

As you can see, Lo Chen, Meili and Tilde have gameplay demos ready to watch. Just click on 'Released' next to the character you're most interested in, to take a look. The game has since been improved, and I will be releasing updated versions of the gamplay soon. I hope to upload Annabel, Duncan and Grub's Chapter 0 soon. Twitch viewers can also request live demos of the game, and may also influence what choices we make along the way. This is a great opportunity to see the game at its latest state if you cannot play the game for yourself.
I am currently focusing on completing Eleanor's written script, which will then need to be uploaded on a whiteboard to help visualise all of the branches. Eleanor has the longest prologue of all of the characters, and I hope it allows Sea Hears fans to learn more about the situation in Cantari, which is where Eleanor comes from.
I am also working towards Chapter 2 for some of the characters, as this progress will then allow me to continue Meili's story.

Art Progress

All main characters have character art that can be used in the game, and recently, other characters have received full character art too. The current count of character art is at 10. Going forward, new character art will be commissioned for other important minor characters, and scene art will be commissioned during important moments of the game. Patrons receive high quality versions of the art and may view them before anyone else!
There has been a regular amount of concept art that has been ordered and shared with Patrons. Key characters such as Alice Monaghan, Shui Ling, Jordan and Bohai Hàn have received concept art, which is a step forward to commissioning true character art for the game.
Music has also been commissioned for the game, which includes two exclusive tracks only for Sea Hears.
