The Cob Knights

The Cob Knights are the elite guardians of Cornakopia, devoted defenders of the Cob God and the city atop the Tarrasque. Known for their resilience and loyalty, they wield corn stalk spears—reinforced with minerals from the Underdark—that are as sturdy as steel, and they wear armor crafted from toughened corn husks woven with rare metals. These warriors are feared and respected throughout the Underdark for their tenacity in battle and unbreakable unity.

To become a Cob Knight, a young Coblin must undergo the "Corn Blessing" ritual, a trial overseen by senior knights. They must survive a harrowing journey across the Underdark, gathering specific stalks of corn said to be "touched" by the Cob God's spirit. Those who succeed are knighted at dawn, draped in a husk-woven cloak, and sworn to protect Cornakopia with their lives. Each Cob Knight takes a vow to uphold the teachings of the Cob God, defending their city and honoring the harvest that sustains them.
