What Defines a Mortal?

A mortal is a living being in Scarterra that has fully complete soul with all five parts, including a Mortis which defines what a mortal is for no other type creature has a Mortis though the other four parts of the soul can be found in many living beings.
Since they have fully mortal souls, they can experience a full afterlife in the Aetherial Realm as one of the honored dead or they can join the ranks of the restless dead and become ghosts.
