Asta'lash

Asta'lash is the language of Astakalians. It is more commonly referred to as "Scuttleclack".
Outsiders can learn to understand the language, but it is very difficult for non-Scuttlers to pronounce correctly.
Astakalians are highly literate, at least compared to other Scaraquans, Sea Common has very few spoken words borrowed from Asta'lash but Sea Common uses the Asta'lash alphabet for their script.
With a magical carrier or the right acoustics, Astakalians (or those fluent in their written language) can tap out written messages similar to modern Morse code.
