A catastrophic blow to Tazizi and the Hajaari population.

A giant earthquake that hit the Hajaari capital of Tazizi in 1079 AE. The Hajaari suffered catastrophically large losses, which hurt their race even more considering there are only so many of them. It created a massive chasm in the earth, splitting the city in two.   But in a show of their resoluteness, the Hajaari people and council decided to continue living in Tazizi. They repurposed the cliffs into more buildings, and slung great bridges across the gap. Every year a day is dedicated to mourning those lost.
