Tynvakan
While divided into four sections, one for each category of elemental, the elementals share the realm of Tynvakan. Each category of elemental represents a form of matter: solid, liquid, gas and energy. Mortals are most familiar with the earth, water, air and fire varieties, which are some of the most common. All matter has a place in Tynvakan though. Though rarer, there exist elementals of ice, lightning, wood, blood, radiation and many more. Each elemental guards over its slice of the world, and all of them hate demons. Demons are forces of destruction, while elementals are forces of creation. They formed the world, and they will not allow the demons to undo their hard work.
Incarnates of these states of matter, Fundamentals are the “gods” of Tynvakan. There are several other beings that are questioned to be Fundamentals, including Belatova, Skaljigan and Xaryx, but the four states of Solid, Liquid, Gas and Energy are definitely Fundamentals. Each one rules one region within Tynvakan, all working as one to create and defend their worlds.
Geography
A land of infinite heat and energy, The Luminescent Ribbons are the source of all energy in the world. There is no ground, as this is a realm of pure energy. Bolts of lightning and streaks of fire whirl through the void, providing the various elemental creatures a crisscrossing web of walkways to traverse the world. Fire elementals are the primary residents of this region, though storm elementals are the next most common.
The Infinite Ocean covers the liquids, with bubbles of various liquids floating in a sea of water. Here, water elementals and other elemental creatures like sea giants live and build monuments.
Above all the other elemental realms is The Vast Horizon, where the gasses swirl and mingle. There is little in the sky, with the gaseous residents being too erratic and formless for anything to last long. The sky is filled with multicolored clouds of countless gases however.
The Mountainous Expanse is home to the solids, and starts out as near infinite rocky plains. Spires of solid elements rise from the barren land, getting colder as you go further in. Eventually you hit the Glacial Wall, a solid barrier of ice which serves as the absence of energy. No heat, no movement, absolute zero. Below the Expanse, there is a rich world scattered with veins of minerals and gemstones. This is the primary home of the various earth elementals and similar creatures, though they sometimes go to the surface. Mostly to interact with any planar travelers, who lack their ability to move through the earth.
