Mishathwa
A fractal conglomerate of a billion realms, Mishathwa is the heart of life in the world. Under Belatova, the ultimate embodiment of life, there are two main powers in this realm.
The first is the fey, a collection of nature spirits given form. They feel a deep connection to the primal magic of life and can share it with those who serve them. The best known example is Fairies, though the fey come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
The second is the Thaxomi. They are representatives of the various forms of life, from plants to animals to fungi and anything else living. Most who know of them are familiar with the lower levels, who rule over a genus or species. The higher you go, the more mysterious and eldritch these beings become. The broader reaching thaxom can rule over orders, classes and even entire kingdoms. The thaxomi who rule over entire domains are said to form a council to advise Belatova. Yet every thaxom, from the masters of the Kingdoms to the lowest species is in a constant battle. An eternal battle for supremacy, where evolution is their weapons. Each level is constantly devising new subordinates to take advantage of new strategies, creating more species to give their branch a leg up against their competition. While the thaxoms of species try to improve their specific species, higher level thaxoms don’t care about individual species and will replace them with a better model as needed. This doesn’t mean they are heartless, as each thaxom strives to make the world better for their creatures. They are also known to take druids as vessels, though thaxom druids often worship higher level thaxomi. The thaxom of birds has many more vessels than the thaxom of the Gold Breasted Facon due to both their greater power and greater influence. They have fewer than the thaxom of animals however, again due to the greater power and influence.
Belatova itself doesn’t actually do much. They are the grand overseer, making sure all the thaxoms and fey spirits are doing their jobs to keep the world running. If something goes wrong they will step in and correct the issue but most of the time they are simply the central cog keeping the whole clockwork system turning. Inactive on their own but making everything else run smooth.
