Kudzume

A demonically enhanced strain of an already aggressive plant, Kudzume is a plague upon wherever it takes root. Wherever it finds a hold, it soon engulfs everything around it, spreading at an unnatural speed. Anything that the Kudzume spreads to in overgrown in minutes. Anyone entangled by it suffers a worse fate. Not only are they trapped in a malicious vine, denied essentials as they starve and dehydrate, but the vine slowly absorbs their life essence to fuel its malign growth. At the heart of the infestation is the Kudzume’s Core. This is the true body of the monster. Damage to the growth will harm it but not kill it: you must destroy the core. The core’s appearance can vary, but it usually has some fiendish form.
