The Incarnate King rises. From below, the Demons and beasts calling themselves the loyal children of Avernus attack the surface world fiercely.

The Avernal Campaigns begin, and the Crown Campaigns end. The Emperor of Jeria commits his armies to an offensive, aiming to end the threat of the demons. If they are left to fester and grow, they will do so with terrifying speed. The pacification of the land is a matter of far lesser import than the sieges of demons from Avernus.   The Incarnate King rises in his valley, takes command of the Pillar of Rime, and conquers much of the world above.   After this time, the Empire's borders include the King's Crown mountains and the coast from Talon to Mandrol, going south to the inner sea and north to the edge of Kentarun.
