Plaguecraft finds no solution, until Dinlirys veteran and Doctor Jonathan Walker of the Panacea Circuit finds a cure through the new technology of blood transfusion... mending an ephemeral lack.

Carsters Plague is spread via wheat and other grains. It infects first wheat, then the blood of the host. CSTR-14 is a dark form of blood that truly comes from experimentations of the Dagonites. Jonathan Walker in his youth came back from minor wars for a set of islands in the Bay that were causing piracy problems only to discover Carsters ravaging his home.   This makes it particularly dangerous if an outbreak occurs because not only does it cause welts and slowly and painfully kills the person it also makes feeding the people near impossible as without Grains, there is no bread, no alcohol, there is no way to feed the animals to gain their meats.   He cured it through a focus on the blood, treating a healthy person with small forms of magically-treated glucose and then taking their healthy blood and transfusing it with a host. He also fought with a Dagonite messiah after being turned by him directly. (Sar-varkesh the Messiah.) He met Miranda Giovanni from this as well, who was an unknowing healthy carrier of Carsters and helped spread it to Dinlirys. In truth, Jonathan Walker fought Disaster... and in it met Antediluvean.   Plague turns veins and blood green.
