357AB

Those scattered barbaric tribes of the Bay that did not band together, and the small societies that chose to flee instead of protecting their settlements, become refugees from the undead. They flee to the isles in the Bay, most remaining for all history as scattered semi-organized tribes, but many managing to make it to the Second Jeriec Empire, which has no contact with Golryon.

There are quite a few survivors of these early human societies, though all of them are forced to integrate into Durumi or Jerian societies, or found their own tiny villages on islands. There was nowhere else to go, as Golryon was not known until 394. Jeria readily accepts this influx of hundreds of human survivors, and a few dwarf and elven survivors, into their empire. They are not named citizens however, and after a period of social conflict, the Emperor declares that any mortal being with a limited lifespan that serves in the Legion in the Red Sun may become a citizen through showing their loyalty to the Empire.
