At the end of the Shapers Guild's contract with Durum, they do not have a Duke to return to, as Golryon has been overthrown in a few short years. Instead of returning to a city and world entirely different than what they remember, they instead remain in the north, aiding with construction through magic and also contracting out to Erinion and the Highlands.
