First Battle of the Shrike Vortex

The Imperial Alliance meets the Shrike Vortex Mirror-Tower at the Ødela Sallaca fortress. They do not commit to the battle fully, sending just a strike force to the Vortex while testing its defenses to gather intel for the Architects of Nox to later build attack plans.

This loses the fortress, and three hundred lives on the IA side in the fort. This leads to Heart Riots and the Battle of the Crystal Cape as many sides are angry with a seemingly sound defeat, and nothing in the way of messaging surrounding it. As it was a tactical move to gain information, and the Empire cannot rightly release that information without Golryon learning of it, discontent builds.
