You will see a door, a hall, and a friend.
They come when your soul is released from your body. They may be waiting for you, they may arrive soon after. Across the bridge you will go, He will show you. You may take his hand, child, he exists to comfort you in the End.
A gate, a tunnel, a father.
Psychopomps ensure that the dead come to terms with their transition from mortality. They also protect souls from being preyed upon by supernatural predators. Nearly all psychopomps wear masks, especially when they’re likely to be interacting with mortals, although the types of masks they wear are as varied as the psychopomps themselves.
A pit, a stairway, a mentor.
Weakness: Cold Iron and Cryptstone. Do not attempt to fight them, my friend, when your Story ends. For yourself, and for those you have loved that have departed, and for the rest of us living who do not wish for your soul to remain in turmoil as a Haunting, go with Him. Groth shall lead you to a final rest, and through the Moonlit Veil.
