Sartova, The God's Chronicle.

Sartova is discussed here as the Story, in the Planar Danse. For Sartova as a location, see here.   Sartova's Rune is Memory, it's Material Cold Iron, and it's Portent 'The World.' It is related to three Runes of subconscious powers within it's dominion, Evandyr's, Jhar'gorns, and the Fiefdom's. These three also have their own Portents, Fool, Strength, and Hanged Man, respectively.   The God's Chronicle is thought to be the center of the Planar Danse, due to it's role in the eyes of Simon, the Storyteller. In The Guardian Faith as well as The Worship of the Themes, Sartova is recognized as The Story, which means that it is metaphysically a narrative in the eyes of the tenth-dimensional omnipresent being known as the Storyteller.   The effect that this has on the everyday man is subtle but quite important. Being that everything is a Story, Events tend end in the manner that they begin, forming the ideal cyclical story. Therefore, a town that rose to become a great city, will usually be destroyed in a grandiose way, rather than fading away. Meanwhile, a small town that never grew would escape notice, which is good for the inhabitants who wish to live a normal life, but it will essentially be passed over by the Story, and it will be rather hard for them to find adventure or excitement.   However, this is a very general effect upon Sartova. It will typically not affect any individual in their lifetime, it is just a scholarly observation of the history of the world.
