Quori in Sartova | World Anvil

Quori

From the Torfield, the Center of Thought, come these extra-dimensional entities...

At the center of the Torfield is Kel Quor, home to beings that feed off of the fragments of dreams once they expire, the Quori. The Quori are not malignant, but they care little for the physical forms of the mortals, as in death they will simply be Twilit beings of soul and not physical form, which is no loss to them.   Nonetheless, because their sustenance is dreams and their bodies are thought, they will be wiped clean if Sartova is wiped clean. This has happened four times before, at the end of the first day of the world, with the end of Jhar'gorn, the end of Er'laria, and the end of Erinion. This causes them to be a strange sort of ambivalent, which is they will help push the world from total destruction, until they see it is impossible to change the outcome without direct, forceful control, and then try desperate measures on that years Convergence Day to stop at all costs the decimation of both kinds.

We are not of one mind, but have made a perfect gem of compromise...

There is said to be an idea that the Quori revere above all things, and leads them in everything. This idea-being is hidden from the prying eyes of the concerningly few mortals who actually know of the Quori, despite their efforts. He is the supreme ruler of the Torfield. It is the dreaming dimension, a pocket universe made real by the collective psychic energies of everyone asleep on the planet.   Field agents of Kel Quor and Qa'tor sit above the shadows in the organization hierarchy. These include thoughtstealers who focus on collecting secrets, dominators who focus on manipulation and orchestrating events, and dreamblades who assassinate the foes of the quori as a last resort.   IN AETERNUM. AD INFINITUM.
