Centerfolk and Embodies

From Edinhomn, The Forge of Clarity, come these extra-dimensional entities...

Embodies are the perfect form of a sense, skill, action, or sometimes being. They are it to the perfect degree, in a singular fashion. In the sense of art forms, they are subjectively perfect in their single form. In what they desire to do, they are perfect. They are nearly always matter without mind, the opposite of the Torfield or Typhen. However, the Embody of the six senses exist only to and in that sense, akin to a dimension for them, and are sentient.   Two Embodies will mate and form a flawed being, not an Embody, known as one of the Centerfolk. This is a mixture of their two crafts, essentially the proto-form of a new skill or action or being, it is roughly humanoid, with any number of limbs, organs, sensors, and everything that is required. They begin as a weird mess of the two Embodies that made them, but undergo an occult process that splits some part of the true self off. This other part dies if it is small, and becomes a living thing, an Imperfection, if it is of any significant size. This is the culture of the Centerfolk, always cutting off parts of their true self to create a newer, better true self, until perfection in their own eyes is achieved. This process uses Runic Storyweaving magicks, tearing apart and separating the self.   Edinhomn and Narhiim are closely tied in that the Centerfolk open many tunnels to Edinholm, it is a step to walking this Middle Path of Perfection. The Imperfections they cut off go to Narhiim, and define it somewhat. It is unknown if this is an intentional design of Simon, or if the Centerfolk have obtained magics of the Planar Danse which act against his design.   Weakness: Cold Iron, corruption, failure. If you manage to cause a Centerfolk to see part of itself that is inadequate or it hates, it will cut away that portion of itself. If you manage to trick an Embody into thinking it has failed at its singular task (something that has been proved to be impossible), it will immediately take it's own life.   IN AETERNUM. AD INFINITUM.
