The Western sea
The few sailors who have left sight of Bansch's western shore and returned tell tales of an infinite ocean with clouds that block the sun, moon, and stars from view, currents that sweep ships into deadly whirlpools, and a realm where the fey mood of the sea herself will dictate the survival of any ship. Those that returned did not credit skill to their survival, but luck.
Ships have washed ashore on Krenshaw's southern shore, rent apart as if by monsters the size of mountains, with tentacles wider that trees. Great storms wash into Saramoth sea without warning, making it nearly impossible to leave unless a ship gets very lucky.
Merepeople supposedly live in this sea, just beyond the continental shelf. Their battles with the sea monsters are the stuff of legends, and many sailors claim to have been saved by a fishy person from certain death ins a terrible storm.
Geography
West of Bansch, the sea soons opens into hundreds of kilometres of flat expanse, without sight nor sound to steer sailors home. None have been able to reach a limit of this sea, nor would they be able to tell how far it was if they had. Attempts have been made to measure the distance of this ocean by following the shoreline, but on its western edge (east of all Saramoth) the tides are so strong a ship will be washed onto the breakers unless it maintains an unsafe distance. This problem is aggravated by the thick fogs that tend to arise in the early morning an evening, when the tides are at their strongest.
Fauna & Flora
Massive sea monsters, great white shaks the like of which has never been seen in Saramoth Sea, and shoals of billions of fish roam the untamed ocean between monstrus kelp forests that dwarf the nations of men. It is rumored that entire nations of merepeople live under the waves, untouched by Saramoth's troubles and far form their influence.
