Monster of Goblin lake

In the past, tales told of an ancient sea monster hiding in the Goblin lake. It supposedly terrorized goblin ships as they traveled from their native homeland to Saramoth.

Summary

In ancient times, before the Great Magic war, the humans and goblins (supposedly) had an intimate relationship of peace and friendship. Two hundred eighty-eight years after the War, when the kingdom of Saramoth was securely founded and king Marothsa the 4th ruled on the throne, the great Goblin sailing ships made their last journey across the great goblin sea, pursued by a great horrific beast. This traumatic event killed fully half of the goblin refugees, and their descendants swore to never set sail on the open waters again. Though they have violated this oath, the Goblin people secretly fear the sea to this day.

Historical Basis

The goblins migration was plagued by a great storm, but the existence of the monster has never been proven.
