Fae
I am sure that you have heard of Fae on your Earth. There are countless dimensions, Earths and realms that have tales of these creatures. Some are described as tricksters others describe them as malevolent beings and others portray them as harmless fairies.
The Fae in this world are quite different to ones your hear in Myths for one thing, in this world they are very much real.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The look like humans when in their Glamour but in their true forms they have transparent wings like those of an insect. They have different colours of skin from pale blues, pale greens, soft pinks and much more. They have retractable claws that cut easily through skin and muscle.
Genetics and Reproduction
They reproduce through magic. Meaning they "gift" a baby to a human and make them swear that they owe them a favour so that when they come to collect the baby the humans are not allowed to deny them their child.
Growth Rate & Stages
They grow at a quicker rate than humans but not by much. Fae grow their wings within first month and the protective covering is shed by the first year.
Ecology and Habitats
They can survive in the same conditions as humans but are much more vulnerable to the cold. As their wings can freeze and become damaged.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They must eat twice their body weight to survive. They are generally herbivores and will only eat meat if they have to. They keep their food in a safe location where it will be preserved if they need to save food in case of an emergency.
Biological Cycle
Fae age much slower than humans. This means by the time a Human is 50 years old , a Fae will only be 5 years old.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They have enhanced hearing and sight that is far better than humans but this means that they can be sensitive to bright lights and loud noises. They also possess magic that they use to glamour themselves and charm humans into believing what they wish them to believe.
