Sanguinite!Verse

The universe is unlike any on Earth could have imagined. In the depths of space, strange entities lurk, interacting with the flow of time and the vast distances as though they were simple toys. Their bodies poison organic life, their minds baffle even geniuses - they are as enigmatic as they are dangerous. Yet, without them, this timeline would be very different indeed. These are the geometrids, born of a singularity known as the Colossal Plane, and they have existed since the sudden appearance of time and space. Most pay organic life no heed, and so for the most part, even the most intelligent of civilizations never learns of their existence. However, when even one sows the seeds of a changed future, it becomes more important than ever to understand them.   Before humanity ever learned of their existence, however, they wrought their own destruction with the most volatile of substances in the known universe - sanguinite. Their greatest cities fell, and the world collapsed into a more hostile environment than even the neighboring planet of Mars, and the few survivors found themselves scattered and isolated from one another. Only the most ambitious of plans could save mankind from their own undoing - but it required them to forget it all. Knowledge, as it turned out, was a small price to pay for a chance at survival.   So humanity took to the stars, in a vessel they called Infinity Arc, and they dreamed of another world; Evermore, a fabled promised land, a place where the people of Earth could at last settle and make a home of. However, the last bastion of humankind finally brought them face to face with the entities responsible for the catalyst of it all; the planet Eden, which was visited so long before humans even thought to build a ship of this size.   wip
