Question

When they were a child, what did your character want to be, or think they were going to be, when they grew up?

Lostin hoped he would grow large and strong. Being the runt of the litter and having no father to speak of the other kittens (and some adults) would tease and torment him regularly. His only ally was an older brother, tall strong, and bold. Lostin wanted to be him or even bigger so he could stand up for himself. Yes, Lostin wanted to be the bully and not the victim.   Miles as did all the others in his tribe thought he would be great legend of his tribe to fight off a entire army byhimself.   When Seom was a child, he didn't have the luxury of dreaming about what his life could be, because everyone he knew was toiling and scraping by, and no one knew any better. It was only when he was a about 17 did he recognize the was a wider world to explore when an elven woman rode through his village on the way to the northern kingdoms. He ran up the road and watched her disappear into the forest. His desire to break free was born, yet he was still no closer to knowing who he wanted to become.   Ark Greyhaven always had a sense he was going to follow in the family business. It's what was expected of him. He was the eldest son, and a lot of expectations were held over him. It wasn't until more his later teen years that he started to rebel and want something other than selling armaments and other adventurer found artifacts and riches. It was lucrative, no lie, but being told what you were going to be from day one of your life can sometimes grain on a young person's heart.   When Rodger was a child, he thought he'd be food. After he left Acheron and arrived on Sanguera, and he got used to the idea of not living in constant peril, his priorities changed. Surrounded by the whirlwind color of city life, he wanted to be many things. Master chef, master thief, even a master cricket player. Though he didn't have the strength or stamina for it. Mostly he just wanted to be master of his own fate. It wasn't until after he was sold on the black market for 5,000 gold pieces and later won his freedom on the edge of a knife, that he solidified those desires into his chosen career: smuggling people to freedom.

Synopsis

The party started by heading off to king Eliot's castle, where the met his majordomo Owalt. There they learned about the dragon in the mountain from a Legend Lore spell. Orid, The Insane has haunted the north since before man existed, at the times when dragons and giants fought their last great war hatred for giants of all types but especially frost. A plan was hatched to find the enemies of Orid and bring them to bear on her. After searching about for giants, the party stopped in Alderwych and went to the Red Lion Tavern and met a strong man who had seen giants in the area. He described them as being a storm, and momentarily changing into the form of a giant and then back to the moving storm form. The group searched on foot for hours, and just when they had given up for the day, met a Storm Giant named Sirvog. She told them about the shattering of her tribe centeries ago and provided some help to the group via a drawn map. Armed with this and a positive attitude, the party began to search the former giant burg. Hearing sounds from the south The Doorkickers edged closer, prepearing for the worst, Rodger and Seom floated closer on yog-a-mat, Rodger clutching Wave close to his chest. Then next moments not one, but two white dragons in a tussle roll out of a cave and see the group. The one on top takes flight and breaths cold on the newly formed cube of force, starting combat and ending the session.

Notes

Going without a Long Rest

A long rest is never mandatory, but going without sleep does have its consequences. If you want to account for the effects of sleep deprivation on characters and creatures, use these rules.   Whenever you end a 24-hour period without finishing a long rest, you must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or suffer one level of exhaustion.   It becomes harder to fight off exhaustion if you stay awake for multiple days. After the first 24 hours, the DC increases by 5 for each consecutive 24-hour period without a long rest. The DC resets to 10 when you finish a long rest. DNDBeyond
