Loxosceles
Loxosceles (a.k.a. The Killer, Nighttime Stalker, Death)
A deadly, volatile spider creature born during the creation of the world. Brother to Bothrios, the Weaver, Loxosceles is the Killer, a figment whose name is never to be spoken, lest he be summoned. Travelers carry talismans to ward off his spiderlings.
Physical Description
Body Features
Like his spider brother, Loxosceles has eight eyes and eight limbs, though descriptions of him tend to be more monstrous. Some liken him to having the long, multi-legged body of a centipede, while others describe him as a spider-faced man cloaked in a thick carapace. Despite his true size, various art depictions show him as being able to swallow a human being whole, with a mouth lined with fangs and a forked tongue.

Personal history
Loxoceles has, for the most part, kept himself separate from all forms of life except for his brother and his prey. He has grown since the creation of the world, confronting gods and powerful beings, though leaving those meetings mostly unscathed, save for a few scars that litter his tough skin. He has killed multiple times, mostly for food, sometimes out of anger, and other times to defend his territory.
Morality & Philosophy
His morality is practically nonexistent. In his mind, he is the only one of his kind, and so he does not owe anything to any other creature, save for the few favors and aid for his brother. He has no qualms about toying with his prey before injecting it with his venom at his leisure, and rarely will hear out any pleas for mercy.

Family Ties
Despite calling him a brother, Loxosceles has no real blood relation to Bothrios. His loyalty to and, at times, genuine concern for his fellow spider creature seem to only come from the fact that they are both the same sort of creature. He doesn't question when his brother asks for help, nor does he ever truly try to hamper him or hold him back. For all his evil actions, he knows that if he and Bothrios do not stand together, then the gods will use them against each other. Although, after the slaying of Bothrios, surprisingly, he simply turned to believing that it was his brother's own fault for becoming so close with the affairs of humans. He never seemed to mourn or show grief, either, and used his brother's death as an excuse to kill or distrust humans even more, as vengeance.
