Structure
Leader To The End
As the current head of the organization, the Leader To The End is the only one who can convoke a meeting of the Truthkeepers. These meetings are used to share information and determine the general course for the whole organization. Despite having the highest position, the Leader To The End has normally no real authorative power besides calling in the meeting but they are the only one who knows the true identity of all Truthkeepers and Truthseekers. They are also not elected but instead raise their own successor instilling in them all the knowledge needed to one day become the next Leader To The End. Often this change is not even noticed by many of the Truthkeepers.
Truthkeepers
They lead their own branches and their philosophies often differ from eachother. Most members of the Pursuers only meet their own Truthkeepers and often don't even know their identity. Their main objective is the recuitment and overseeing of new followers and recomending them to be a Truthseeker.
Truthseeker
Truthseekers are the executive arm of the Pursuers and are the ones actively trying to achieve progress towards the End. Most of them work alone and only meet with others when it helps their goals or they are summoned by the Leader To The End.
Pursuer
Most other followers call themselve Pursuers and are like any other normal believer of another religion.
Mythology & Lore
The Pursuers believe that in the beginning, before the existence of the Creation, souls already existed and that they existed in an utopian state.
Cosmological Views
Pursuers believe that the original utopia was destroyed by deviant souls resulting in the beginning of the Creation. According to the Pursuers these deviant souls created what is known as chaos (energy) and the Chaos Floors beraking the eternal elibrium that existed before.
Tenets of Faith
There are only two general laws spanning the whole religion: First, the prime commandment to find a way to trigger the End and second to find the Original Evils, the souls that triggered the Creation.
Besides this two every branch has its own unique sets of rules that can vary up to the point that outsiders think that they are different religions.
Ethics
The most important rule after their tenets, is anonymity. Gatherings are shrouded in shadows and members often only know their recruiter or followers that they have often interacted with.
Priesthood
Truthkeepers and Truthseekers are all born with an attunment to the shadow element and are appointed to their position by receiving a fraction of divine power from the Lord of Shadows after they are deemed worthy to lead or seek. The orignal Leader To The End was an incarnation of the Lord of Shadows and since then the title was directly passed down.
The attires of the priests refelct the anonymity omnipresent in the organization: They are a matching set of robes and masks infused with a spark of the power of the Lord of Shadows, clouding them into shadows.
Granted Divine Powers
Priest of the Pursuers have control over shadows, that far exceed what normal mages can achieve.
