Coyote Character in San Diablo | World Anvil

Coyote

Jason Michael Dean

Coyote is a mid-twenties aged street level villain hailing from Nevada. Armed with their trusty bo staff, they look to control the streets of San Diablo. What sets Coyote apart from others is their ability to channel the spirit of the coyote, giving them enhanced agility and an uncanny ability to navigate the urban landscape.
Coyote has chosen San Diablo as their home base due to the opportunity for rampant crime and corruption plaguing the city. They are driven by a desire to bring their justice to the community. Coyote believes that San Diablo is their city, and new heroes have to pay. They have a significant impact on street level crime in San Diablo.
Coyote moves with a fluid grace, emulating the agile and elusive nature of their animal namesake. They often incorporate acrobatics and quick strikes into their combat style, making them a formidable opponent. Additionally, Coyote has a habit of leaving small, stylized coyote pawprints as their signature mark at the scenes of their successful criminal endeavors.
Coyote takes their name from a former hero, one who was not of super powers, but of a righteous nature. When that man was killed in a crossfire between MATTER agents and low-level criminals, and MATTER did nothing for his family, the new Coyote took up the mantle. Originally he wanted to expose MATTER as an organization that did not care about the normies, only the Titans. Forget the normies...they don't matter.
But they soon realized that there was profit in controlling the streets. If MATTER does not care what is going on there, then so be it. There is money to be made protecting companies...even from themselves.
