Eliander Fireborn
Human Male. Eliander is a member of the town council and is well known to be a Loyalist, having fought in the royal army of Keoland. In his service, he earned his name driving the wild things of the Dreadwood away from settled lands. He suffered a tremendous injury to his leg against an owlbear, now walking with a wooden peg.
Despite his injury, Eliander is a burly figure and the leader of the Saltmarsh town guard. He is also known to have quite a facility for languages thanks to his travels across the kingdom.
Though he is invested in the wellbeing and safekeeping of all residents and interests of Saltmarsh, it is no secret that in times of crisis, he would put the interests of Keoland over local rule. He possesses a royal writ that would allow him to seize authority over the town guard in case of emergency, but has been loath to use it so as to not upset the political balance in Saltmarsh.
Eliander maintains the most extensive library within Saltmarsh as a result of developing a hobby collecting rare books on his military expeditions.
