Bouchegar (BOO-SHAY-GAR)
Bouchegar is a spice island of Oskye. It is the smallest and also the most southwestward island of the nation. Like Surden, it is officially unpopulated but close to two thousand inhabitants live in a cobbled together 'port' city along the western coast.
Geography
Bouchegar is almost perfectly rectangular except for a tiny cove almost entirely hidden by land and forest, and a small outcropping bereft of trees on opposite sides of the island. These two features served as important parts of the @Invasion of Albert Goldenrod. The hidden cove served as Albert's base of operations and the outcropping, site of Bouchegar Keep, was the site of the first major battle of the invasion.
Fauna & Flora
Bouchegar is cluttered with natural citrus and clove trees. Since colonization the forests have become more unified, singular, and less sustainable. Significantly more resources, magical and labor both, has been committed to the island to increase its profitable output.
History
Prior to Eshorian colonization Bouchegar was largely unpopulated, as it is today, but was seasonally populated by indigenous farmers who developed the forest as a a sustainable source of crops and lumbar. Small populations lived along the coast year round and larger Triton settlements lived in the waters between Nairey, Bouchegar, and Oskye.
