Dwarf

Dwarves have a stouter build compared to most humanoids, averaging 4 and a half feet tall. They have curly hair in shades of ginger, brown, and black, and have pale to tan skin tones. Dwarves reach adulthood at 20 and tend to live for around 80 years.
Dwarves originate in the mountainous and hilly regions of western Alcao. They mostly relied on farming hardy crops and working with clay, until they discovered how to shape metals with extreme heat to make strong tools which they have used to build stone fortresses, mine for precious minerals, and trade with other sapient species. Dwarves often live in extended family groups called clans, which typically have a signature trade, so family bonds and skills like smithing, masonry, and tinkering are central to dwarven culture.
