Teaser The first novel of the series is a romance between high school seniors. Erik Lorenz is the son of a maverick representative turned gubernatorial candidate, who is often left alone to shield him from the bigotry and animosity aimed at his father. Musashi Toda was taken in by the head of a criminal syndicate after the disgrace and ruin of his once-prestigious family. The novel begins in September of 2018 as Erik is showing signs of schizophrenia and Musashi is dysphoric toward his situation. Primarily, the story follows Erik's journey. Both because Musashi is a private person and because the book would be twice as long, only periodic glimpses are given into Musashi's side of things.
