The Great Library of Trilenius

During the early years of the settlement of the island chain that would eventually become known as Trilenius, Vola the first ferry was still exploring her magical abilities. There were so many thoughts going through her head as she now contained the wisdom of the dragons within she now had to get that information out so that it can be passed on to future generations.

She did not understand the importance of this until her children, with Lev, started to have the same magical manifestations as she had. It appeared as the children went through puberty, they were able to achieve their full magical powers. Minor magical abilities were prevalent as the child began to grow up.

It was pretty much determine if a child had magical powers by the time they were potty trained and beginning to walk around. The children could determine that they were not able to do by this time.

The magic power abilities in true Linea's are not as long the others.

Humble beginnings

Vola and the rest of the refugees from North Harbor, commandeered the largest of of the vessels and sailed away. As they were escaping North harbor and discovering Trilenius. None of the refugees had formal education. None of the inhabitants of North harbor had anything to read or to write.

Vola, with the age of the dragons still swirling inside her to teach people. She began documenting the draconic language.

Once shelters had been created for all of the settlers, the community began working on exploring the main island and striving to set up an economy that could help them to survive. As many of them were laborers in the fields of North harbor, the great majority continue to work of plowing fields and raising crops. While the tropical nature of the island was able to provide lots of vegetation and the sea was able to provide fish, there was a lot of struggle in finding things to cultivate as a crop. Through much experimentation and adaptation the seeds and crops that had worked for them so well in the near tundra climate in their old land did not work as well here.

Vola spent most of her time focusing on the cultivation of her magic. After 12 years of being on the island, the people had been able to adapt well and establishing new crops and diversified crafts to be able to support each other. A school was established for the teaching of the newly written common alphabet adapted from what they used in North Harbor.

The Scribes

Some of the more able students graduating from the school became scribes. Even though they could not perform the magic, they became very adept at documenting and transcribing the magical spells and describing their actions in text format in the new alphabet. The scribes became the first librarians in Trilenius. There were many different functions that they worked on depending of the type of the information that Vola was able to provide.

Historians

Much of the knowledge of Suviklarg the Dragon was historical in nature. Vola could go on for hours explaining the history of all of the different dragons and their interactions with human. Much of this would eventually be considered apocryphal prehistory as the only evidence that they happened is in Vola's mind. Some of the important stories that came from the revealed histories include the celestial's condescension that resulted in the formation of Sagadorm.

Philosophy

The philosophies of the dragons varied greatly depending on which Dragon was consulted. Though the memories were Suviklarg's, there were within them the many different philosophical approaches of the different dragons throughout the pre-histories. Most notably was the first great silver Dragon, Argentric.

The philosophies of Argentric became the foundation of the religion that the fairies eventually worshiped. Many of the different competing philosophies and opinions of the other dragons were included in this text but as the documents were compiled, it is obvious that those of Argentric are considered the "true" philosophy.

It is difficult to call what was initially brought by Vola as the philosophies a religion. There is not a worship of a central deity as Argentric is not dead but is though world, Sagadorm. As the variations of fairies manifested themselves through the centuries and different groups began to emphasize the other four elements, those philosophies espoused by the other four dragons became more prominent. However influenced or toned down by the central tenants of Argentric's philosophy.

The Sacred Text of Suviklarg

I'm not exactly sure where "the sacred text of Suviklarg" is going to fit into these philosophies. Because the major contrarian and counterculture belief system is the Animalists and they are certainly a more pagan and druidic within the more monastic or Buddha philosophies of the major religion.

Magic

Vola did her best to communicate how to perform magic to hurt scribes who were specifically meant to learn the magic. The initial scribes who recorded the magic were trusted students of the school. However, as Vola's children aged and became magic users themselves, she turned exclusively to teaching her children and grandchildren magic. Not all of her descendents were given the same amount of magical gifts that she had inherited from Suviklarg. However her direct children all extremely gifted in magic. Because of her fairy nature, she was able to have children for many years longer than thought possible. It is believed that her husband, Lev, was also able to extend his life due to his proximity and intimacy with Vola.
