Ages

Saani has a long and varied history. As such, historians divide it into 5 different ages: the Creation Age, the Human Age, the Crowning Age, the Divine Golden Age, and the Post Divine Golden Age.

The Creation Age (CRA)

The Creation Age is the era when Alnii was creating the solar system, before the first humans appeared. It is unknown exactly how long it lasted, though scientists and historians approximate it to be 6 billion years long. Events in the Creation Age are not able to be precisely dated, and instead are ordered chronologically with each other.

The Human Age (HA)

The Human Age is thought to have lasted approximately 200,000 years, and covers the span of human presence on Saani. Because the exact length of this age is also unknown, years are designated backwards from the year before Mohhi-Shee's Pilgrimmage, 1 HA (52 HA would be 52 years before Mohhi-Shee's Pilgrimmage).

The Crowning Age (CA)

The Crowning Age is the age between Mohhi-Shee's Pilgrimmage (1 CA) and the year before Victoria (10,000 CA). In this period, all 5 of the gods performed their great deeds, and were crowned. This period also saw the extinction of pure humans, and the rise of their more exotic and diverse descendants that populate Saani today.
NOTE: The name of this age was changed from the original "Mohhi-Shee's Age," coined by the then-mortal Seeraz. Much of her work, as well of that of her contemporaries, is dated with "[year] MSA" instead.

The Divine Golden Age (DGA)

The Divine Golden Age is the era between Victoria (1 DGA) and the year before the Divine Massacre, which lasted 50,000 years. During this period of time, the gods were at their most active in the mortal realm.

Post-Divine Golden Age (PGA)

The Post-Divine Golden Age is the current age, starting the year of the Divine Massacre. The gods are less active in the dealings of mortals, and seem to have turned their attention to a bigger issue. Some believe that a divine civil war is brewing, while others point out that the problem may be beyond the reaches of Ignis's light...
