Paola's Special

Created on accident by a lonely shop owner when a group of adventurers stumbled into her beloved shop. Trying her best to make a lasting impression and to help those in need, she began cooking a simple stew that would no doubt fill the bellies of this road worn group.
Consisting of a standard broth, that is slow boiled with large chunks of beef and other various meats until they begin to fall apart in a nice, melt in your mouth feel. Vegetables are tossed on half-way through to absorb some of the broth and also cook partially, but usually tend to end in mush during the cooking process. This doesn't hinder on its normal flavor however.
Although her dish is prepared rather often, this rendition seems to have struck a bit of hatred, and some love within this particular party. Having been boiled for longer than normal, as well as having an extra amount of spices tossed into the mix, this hearty stew turned into a nice black ichor like substance, bubbling and churning in their small wooden bowls that stain as the liquid is moved around.
When consumed, this stew coats and sticks to every surface is comes in contact with, leaving a horrid aftertaste that linger for up to a few hours, and unfortunately for some, days.

History

This Dish came about when a party of adventurers traversed into a mysterious shop owned by Paola, a resident living in Onnirial. She insisted that the party sit down and relax for a short period of time and enjoy some food on the house after traveling for a few days.
Unbeknownst to the party however, Paola had neglected to wear her glasses that day and proceeded to doctor up the stew with an improper amount of spices.

Significance

Paola's signature dish, however completely ruined due to improper spice distribution.
