Camilons
Camilons are a subspecies of Faunus that is spiritually connected to Chameleons. They are arguably one of the most Human of all Faunus-kind, particularly so in terms of characteristics. They have no tails, nor inhuman ears. The only real thing that sets them apart from Humans is their skin and supposed freckles.
Uncommon
Dissimilar to other Faunus-kind, such as Volkians, Camilons are relatively uncommon and appear to have unfortunately week genetics. Their children are more likely of being born as a different Faunus-kind if one parent or close relative is not a Camilon. And if they are closely related to a Human, the chance of them being born as one is greatly elevated.
Characteristics
Similar to other Faunus-kind, Camilons have heightened senses, particularly smell and sight. They are also capable of seeing nigh-perfectly in the dark. They also have greater reflexes and are perceptive toward oncoming danger.
Camouflage skin
Camilons main trait — as previously mentioned — concerns their freckled skin. It is capable of providing incredible camouflage. While it is primarily instinctive and responds to their mood, it can be activated consciously to help them blend in with their surroundings.
Freckles
The freckles that mark their skin is in fact more akin to scales than anything else and are usually grouped together in the handful.
The face, shoulders, stomach and back are the most likley places for these to be found. They are primarily shaded in green but can take on hues such as red, blue, or black.
Defects
Defects among Camilons are in fact incredibly rare, though a few exist. The most common is an overgrowth of hue freckles, which more closely resemble scales. This usually occurs only on one specific area, such as the arm or back, or in rare cases, a portion of the face. Another, more subtle, is that they may be capable of independently moving their eyes in different directions.
