Cikavac
@Cikavacs are tiny black bipedal birds, with soft fluffy feathers. They are compulsive thieves, but fiercely loyal to their mistress or master, if they have one.
Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
A Cikavac is created when an egg is stolen from a black hen and carried under the stealer’s armpit for 40 days. When it hatches, the Cikavac is undyingly loyal to its carrier and will happily thieve for it or carry out any other tasks to the best of its ability. If the carrier dies, the Cikavac fends for itself by stealing food and other items from barns, making them the sworn foes of Ovinnik household spirits. The Cikavac can choose a new master or mistress if its previous one has died or abandoned it.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Cikavacs consider milk stolen from another’s cattle or honey taken from another’s beehive to be the sweetest taste in the world. The most reliable way to earn the loyalty of a Cikavac is to feed it stolen milk and honey.
