The Northern Mountain Pass
Geography
This pass sits between two formidable mountains that each reach up to the clouds, at the bottom runs a large river which tumbles several metres into a waterfall. The path is only very narrow, only a single wagon wide. It is only really a ledge at the foot of one steep cliff and at the top of another, not fun to navigate.
Ecosystem
Not much lives up here, the small mountain flowers and the occasional goat but not much else. It is a lifeless place really, so quiet that you can hear the river rolling down at the foot of the cliff.
Ecosystem Cycles
In the winter the pass is unnavigable by wagon because of of all the snow and ice which makes it extremely slippery, on foot it can be managed but only by those who know the route well.
Localized Phenomena
Avalanches are an ever present risk in the winter and in the colder summers, so it is of upmost importance to be quiet when trying to travel this way.
Climate
Because it is so far north, it is almost always cold here and is snow covered for all but the height of summer.
Fauna & Flora
There are small mountain flowers that cling to the cliff sides, they come in several colours and often cheer up even the most weary traveller.
In the mountains there is also a large population of goats which occasionally stumble into he pass, though they too find it difficult to move in the pass.

Natural Resources
There are no natural resources to be found in these mountains, it is a bleak and intolerant landscape.
Tourism
No one visits this place for fun, but it is the only route from Rusfaeris to the North aside from by the sea, however it can only be used in the summer months.
