Phar is a deity worshipped primarily in the Atarsid Isles as the patron of craft and architecture, as well as the lord of wavebreakers.

Tenets of the Faith

Followers of Phar include smiths, woodworkers, shipwrights, architects and builders who make their livelihood from crafting. Phar is also worshipped as the Lord of Wavebreakers by sailors and merchants, and his followers include those who make their livelihood from the sea. The Cult of Phar is divided into two distinct groups, those who worship him as the Patron of Crafts and those who worship him as the Lord of Wavebreakers, resulting in varying interpretations of his teachings and different practices within the cult.

Temples to Phar vary greatly, with some focused on designs and hammers for the flow of new creations, and others located near the sea and focused on the blessing of new ships before voyages.

Priests

The priests of Phar are those who worship him as the patron of crafts and lord of wavebreakers. They include smiths, woodworkers, shipwrights, architects, builders, merchants, and sailors. They believe in the power of craftsmanship and mastery over the sea, and often perform rituals to bless new ships and voyages, as well as to encourage new creations and inventions. They also perform blessings for shipwrights and builders, and provide guidance to the shipwrights, builders, and sailors. They are known to be hardworking, skilled and innovative individuals who value the art of crafting and the importance of safety at sea.

The Craftmasters are an organisation made up of skilled crafters and the faithful of Phar. They work to create spaces where crafters can work and share ideas. The Craftmasters also facilitate the sale and seek to help their members find patrons. Agents of the Craftmasters also seek to discover new materials and techniques from across Runetalras.
