The Life Plane

The Life Plane lies at the central axis of its planisphere, connected innately with the Spirit and Void planes, and it is known by a host of names that fail to truly understand its nature. To understand the nature of the Life Plane, one must understand its significance as a wellspring, a continuum of power where energy abounds, between the Void Plane and the Spirit Plane, where energy is ejected and dispersed respectively. Like its Ray, the nature of the Spirit Plane is renewal - foreign contaminants are slowly restored and repaired, and it is here we can harness a variety of healing magic. The souls of the living stem from this plane, and it is here the souls of the dead return to when they fade.

Demiurge

When the planes converged, the pure Life energies were affected by the influence of foreign Rays, catalysing the development of complex personalities that embodied pure and perfect life. These entities exist across the ebb and flow of life, and they are trapped in their state of perfection, unable to leave their plane without being dissolved or annihilated, but as is their nature, they desire to create life and seed positive energy across the multiverse and experience such wonderful new things themselves.   These Demiurges cast themselves into the Void plane, and are flung back through the Life Plane where they are restored, through the Spirit Plane, where they are encapsulated in a protective and corrosive field of Spirit energy, and into a suitable vessel, where they are able to live in a physical form. A Demiurge will incarnate infinitely across time and space, and strengthen the Life Plane by bringing increasing amounts of energy back when its life ends.   A Demiurge is a unique entity in that it is a powerful piece of positive energy that risks itself in the Prime plane repeatedly to interact with the wider world, but refuses to interact with foreign entities and energies though it is capable of doing so. Some exceptions do exist - Azazel, who committed his souls to the Nezari in exchange for the power to incarnate with inherent abilities in order to experience new sensations.   Other examples of Demiurges might be Sarqael, Araqiel, Penemuye, Yaquum.

Incarnates

Some Demiurges have chosen to incarnate differently to others, for their own reasons. These incarnates include different races such as the tieflings, as incarnations of Azazel, and the Aasimar, as incarnations of Ramhiel, but could also include any sorcerer with divine lineage, any mortal to swear to the service of a celestial power, or, frequently, demigods.   Incarnates are rarely so obvious as to be easily categorised, but include tieflings, aasimar, nephilim, changelings, genasi, and others.
